At Axis, we develop and manufacture world-leading network video products with the ambition to innovate for a smarter, safer world — and we are now looking for a Software Manager to join our management team within Production Engineering & Technology (PET) at our headquarters in Lund.

Who is your future team?
You will lead a software group of 12 talented engineers divided into two sub-teams:

  • One team focuses on our production client and database solution.
  • The other team develops the software that drives our production machines.

The team works closely with electronics, mechanics, and QA teams within PET, as well as our colleagues within Industrialization, and you will play a key role in shaping our ways of working and how agile methodologies best fit our growing organization.

As part of the Production Engineering & Technology management team, you will collaborate closely with other managers, product owners, and project leaders. Together, you will align strategies, drive improvements, and ensure that our production systems support Axis’ global manufacturing operations efficiently and reliably.

What you’ll do here as Software Manager?
In this role, you will lead and develop your team both strategically and operationally. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategies and goals for your group.
  • Driving continuous improvement in processes, tools, and ways of working, including agile and DevOps practices.
  • Supporting, coaching, and developing your team members to reach their full potential.
  • Resource planning, recruitment, and performance development.
  • Managing the group’s budget and ensuring efficient prioritization and delivery.
  • Contribute to and lead initiatives within the PET management team.

We'd love to hear that you are:
An open, driven, and a collaborative leader who is passionate about software development and enjoy building strong, motivated teams. You combine technical understanding with strong leadership and communication skills, and you are comfortable working across organizational boundaries.

You likely have:

  • A university degree in computer science, or similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a leader of software teams, preferably in a product development environment.
  • A solid understanding of agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps principles.
  • Experience working with software that interacts with hardware or embedded systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.

Technical environment
C#, .NET, MariaDB, NI TestStand, SQL, Git, Windows environment.
Agile methods: Scrum and Kanban.
